Description of the Temperature-Salinity Database
The database concerns the observed layer-based data of temperature-salinity profiles, mainly coming from the exchanged data provided by the United States, Japan, Russia, Republic of Korea, etc. The survey period ranges from 1887 to 2001, covering the Northwest Pacific Ocean area, and involving 300605 stations and 3416812 records. National Marine Data and Information Service has conducted standardized processing and quality control on these data for the use of the end users. Provided that you find some problems in the data, please contact us in due time. Thank you!
